4moms mamaRoo Baby Swing

4moms baby swing reviews

4moms mamaRoo baby swing comes in a unique style and motion, offering a durable option for soothing your baby.

And it doesn’t require you to have a big space in your home to install it.

4moms mamaRoo is not your typical baby swing or bouncer, rather it is a robotic born out of a careful study of how parents hold and sway their baby.

It motion patters therefore resemble that of a parent swaying a little child.

Actually, there are 5 unique motions on the mamaRoo designed to soothe your baby (car ride, kangaroo, tree swing, rock a bye, and wave).

If your baby likes the sensation of a long car ride or more inclined towards being help by your caring hand, you need to consider what this swing offers you. The seat comes with an adjustable recline so that you can try different angles and positions until you select one that suit your baby best.

The swing is simple to operate with conspicuous buttons on the front to switch settings. The seat on it zips off with easy and cleans easily and quickly. If you want, you can control the motion and sound from your compatible smart device using the bluetooth module on the seat.

This comes in handy for that moment when you are so busy in the kitchen and your baby is crying in his swing in the other room. You also have some cool accessories like newborn insert and extra seat fabric for more convenience.

Keep in Mind

The mamaRoo comes with lots of variations in the different speeds options. However, the movement is very slow, even on the highest settings, compared with other standard baby swings we have reviewed on this site.

While the manufacturer does a good job in mimicking a parent’s swaying motion, the mamaRoo still does a poor job at soothing a baby because of the slow movement. Moreover, if you have a bigger or heavier baby, mamaRoo may not be the best option.

The 4moms mamaRoo swing tries to strike a balance between a swing and a bouncer. So it is not a swing per say, rather it tries to be an artificial mom or dad for a baby through its motion mechanism.

While this may sound like a ground breaking technology, you may find yourself utterly disappointed if you desired the diversity that swings and bouncers offer when your baby is not soothed by the gentle swaying of your arms.

Moreover, the extra speed you find on other swings are stripped off because 4moms actually see that as an unimportant feature to have on the mamaRoo. So, if you are not bothered by a seemingly slow speed, this unit will be a great option for you.

Just be aware that it is totally different product from conventional swings on the market. Surprisingly, the mobile on the 4moms mamaRoo is immobile. You have to twirl it constantly to maintain a steady motion.

The folks at 4moms believes that babies should just stare at the mobile and that’s all that matters. If you don’t like that concept, you will need to look further on other models that offer a counter feature.

Lastly, there is no battery compartment on this product. Although, some parents prefer to have a plug-option on their baby’s swing — even if that is the only option — it all boils down to personal preferences.

If you would rather have both or you prefer the battery option, 4moms mamaRoo may just be out of your option for a baby soother. Make sure you bookmark this page as we will be updating the 4moms baby swing reviews from time to time.
